Minimalist Furniture Series by Signalement

Sleek and gorgeous furniture can be made possible even to those people who are not a designer by profession. Peter Petersen and his Danish company Signalement have just proved it with their wonderful collection of sleek and minimalist designs of furniture, wherein mostly are made of MDF. If you will see the desk that they have, it is very simple yet fashionable and clean. The shelving they have will surely make your room organized and clean. Another wonderful creation they have is the lounge table, which I found perfect for every lounge room in every contemporary office. It has fine lines that made the table looks very professional yet trendy still. – via

i just ran across this article and noticed that “trimtab21″ had equated it to a series that i had done in the early 70ties. yes it does, and is very much like the line i did called “front and center” while i was living in miami. it is good to see that the theme of that work is still alive and that the simplicity of form is being re-explored. thank you trimtab21 for your remembrance of times past, and for your continued commitment to the art of design. it has been a lifetime of work for me and a love affair with the art of design. your comment gives some validation to that commitment.

Amazing what (re)connections we can make on the Internet – my late former husband, Robert Wallace Hussey, used to work for J. Wade Beam (Hi, if you read this comment!) in the early 70s, and built a few of those pieces.

    Hello Zann.
I read your comment, and am wondering if Bob passed away…. I think of him often in his boat hat, and his serious commitment quality, and appreciation of design. We did what seemed to be the impossible with wood long before others. A truley incredible person.

The Internet is truly an incredible place to connect. I have fond memories of working with Wade in the early 1990s when he was with Brueton, helping him develop some of his iconic pieces including the Virginian Credenza and Table. Wade is one of those rare design talents who can not only come up with brilliant ideas, but also has the hands on talent to turn those designs into tangible reality. We still have the template Wade created by hand on our edge sander, for the cut-out in the Virginian Credenza base. It was cool to watch him – lost in his own world of thought – fine tuning that shape to get it just right.
