As the population continues to grow, enough living space is becoming a problem. More and more newly built housing units nowadays have very limited space. However, space is not a problem at all if you have ideas as brilliant as with Vanden Eeckhoudt-Creyf, an architect based in Brussels, Belgium. He was able to create a spacious living space and bed space by making use of the vertical space that the mini-maison has. He cut out the historic house’s original stairs and replaced it with extremely elegant and sleek staircases. The top most part of the house is where the bed is located along with a bookshelf. -via
